Why Read - A friend brought this back from the library where she works for both of us to read. She thought i would enjoy it, and I thought it looked interesting.
As a teen fiction I thought this was quite an interesting book. It was easy to read, and easy to get into. The concept, although not entirely new, focuses on aspects of life that is a Sci-Fi trend of the current times, taken and aimed at the teen market. The concept of being cryogenically frozen and sent into space.
The novel is well written, easy to get into and relatable for the teenage market. The plot is interesting, takes on interesting ideas and thoughts and has a few nice twists to it. Some plot holes and brushing over of some concepts are included but i don't think ruin the story completely. What I always despise of (and this is probably a personal thing) is the author trying to come up with new teen speak, to try and relate to the market she is writing to.
However overall i quite enjoyed the novel. The concept was good, the deliverance was good and it was fun to read. I think from the teen fiction books I have read this year, this is one of the better ones and would recommend it for the teen market.
