Hope doesn't like being tied down, she has had several jobs, flits from place to place, and why should she, after a troubled childhood she wants to have fun. But when a well needed holiday takes a tragic twist, she finds herself having to return to her home in Ireland where she has to confront secrets she has been desperate to avoid.
Why read – I thought this was a book I had seen advertised places and thought it looked interesting (I am not convinced this was the same book), plus it looked like a good chick lit to read and enjoy.
I was a little disappointed when I started this book as I realised I had actually read it before. Although not remembering quite what happened, or when I may have read it. However it had me a little hooked and I thought I would read it to the end. The writing style all though a little shallow, and typical of you chick lit genre, did keep me gripped. Its the kind of book thats over the top fantasy and makes a good summer read.
You didn't really get much of a chance to get to know the characters in depth, and their personality's and lives were not as individual as I would have liked. Typical for a chick lit, they are just names in a book, and are without distinct personality's. However the book did keep me gripped all the way through and made a great light read. Good fun, but not thought provoking, with a predictable plot.
